A GREAT CAR DESERVES
A GREAT WARRANTY

We redefine quality. That's our description of our 7-year or 150,000-kilometer warranty: an exclusive and transparent commitment to ensuring that you experience the highest standards in car manufacturing. This warranty is not only a pledge to uphold quality in every component but also a testament to our confidence that your Kia will endure the test of time.

Each of our models comes with a 7-year manufacturer's car warranty, and the benefits can be passed on: if you sell your Kia within the warranty terms, the new owner will also enjoy the remaining time or mileage. This is just one of the many advantages that provide you with greater value for longer.

With Kia, you get 7 years of driving pleasure, 7 years of fun, 7 years of adventure, excitement & exhilaration. Not to mention, you also get 7 years of lower running costs and 7 years of peace of mind.

What’s the catch?

There is no catch, it’s just like a 3-year warranty, but longer! For details, please see our frequently asked questions and terms & exclusions.

Our commitment to
excellent craftsmanship

At Kia, craftsmanship is the art of transforming inventive concepts into high-quality products. This is why the manufacturing process plays a pivotal role in guaranteeing lasting customer satisfaction.

What about battery
electrified vehicles?

Your Kia Electrified Vehicle and its battery is covered by a 7-year warranty.

Be it a "self-charging" hybrid (HEV), plug-in hybrid (PHEV), or a fully electric vehicle (EV), Kia's battery electric cars are designed for longevity and are protected by the Kia warranty for a duration of 7 years from the initial registration or 150,000 km, whichever occurs first.

Warranty FAQs

Yes – the 7 year warranty is fully transferable. As the warranty remains with the car the balance automatically transfers, there are no forms to complete. We recommend that the new owner registers with MyKia so that they receive all the Kia latest information.

We offer a competitive fixed price servicing package on some of our Kia cars – Terms & Conditions apply. Full details can be found in the Owners area of our website. Find out more about Kia's Unique Value Service Package, Kia Care by clicking here.

A late or missing service wouldn’t automatically invalidate the warranty. However, if a fault can be attributed to incorrect maintenance that claim will be declined. Please note: Kia Ireland do not maintain a centralised service record database, if the service record booklet for your car is incomplete you should contact the dealer that carried out the work or the previous owner (if applicable)

We would recommend the use of original Kia parts because if your car fails due to a non-genuine part being fitted, then a warranty claim may be rejected. If you use a garage other than a Kia dealership or approved repairer to service your car, please tell them to specify the part numbers on the invoice and keep this safe.

For the anti-perforation warranty to remain valid your Kia must be inspected by a Kia dealer or authorised repairer every 12 or 24 months (depending upon the model) – the dealer may charge for this. The warranty information and service schedule booklet supplied with the car will state the correct inspection period for your car.

No – However, we think your Kia dealer is the place to go for servicing and maintenance. That’s because no-one else knows our cars like they do, and they will only use genuine Kia parts and Kia approved lubricants. Also your car will be checked for any service campaigns, modifications or improvements that need to be performed. But, provided servicing and non-warranty repairs are carried out properly using genuine Kia parts or parts of equivalent quality you can use an independent repairer without affecting your vehicle warranty. If your Kia car is not serviced by a Kia dealer or Authorised repairer we recommend: • The garage completing the service is VAT registered. • The service must be carried out correctly as detailed in the owner’s manual. • Only genuine Kia parts and lubricants as recommended by Kia or equivalent quality must be used. • The part numbers used should be detailed on the service invoice. • The oil type and grade used should be detailed on the service invoice. • Service records in the warranty booklet must be stamped and dated. Please note: Kia Ireland do not maintain a centralised service record database, if the service record booklet for your car is incomplete you should contact the dealer that carried out the work or the previous owner (if applicable)
